Toll-By-Plate allows drivers without transponders to pay their toll on MDX's Open Road Tolling system through the identification of their vehicle license plate.
“But I have a transponder, what happened?”
If a transponder is not read by the system at the time of the transaction in the lane, a digital camera captures the rear image of the vehicle and identifies the license plate.
Once an invoice is generated, a $3.00 administrative fee is added to the Invoice to cover mailing and processing costs. To avoid paying the $3.00 invoice fee, customers will need to call MDX at 1-888-833-0910 within seven (7) days from the date of the transaction. If you already received an invoice, please click the link below to make your payment.
Customers who received a Toll-By-Plate invoice and have a valid SunPass account at the time of the transaction, contact SunPass at 1-888-685-5352 to update their account and have the transactions I-Tolled. Customers with other transponder types should call MDX at 1-888-833-0910 to resolve this matter.
